SIX vs REN head to head: Sydney Sixers vs Melbourne Renegades head to head records in BBL history

The 18th match of Big Bash League 2022-23 will be played between Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Renegades at the Sydney Cricket Ground tomorrow. Third of five BBL 12 league matches to be played at this stadium, it will be hosting its second match within three days.

Third consecutive home match for Sydney requires them to register their third consecutive victory especially after losing first two matches away from home. Set to be play their second BBL 12 away match, Melbourne will have eyes on winning their first match outside of home.

Having won and lost a couple of matches each, Sixers are currently at the fifth position on the points table. Renegades, on the other hand, are at the third position on the back of three wins and a lone loss in the four matches thus far.

While Sixers have won 31 out of their 52 matches here, Renegades have won two out of their five matches at the SCG. Although its unfair to compare due to a vast different in the sample size, readers must note that MR (8.52) have a better average run rate than SS (8.08) at this venue.

Sixers, who have never lost a match to Renegades in the month of December, haven’t lost a match against them since BBL 2018-19 second semi-final. That being said, it is noteworthy that Sixers have never defeated Renegades on a Wednesday. Safe to say that one of these streaks will come to end tomorrow.
