Sydney Thunder vs Brisbane Heat head to head: THU vs HEA head to head in BBL history

The 17th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Big Bash League will be played between Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat at the Sydney Showground Stadium tomorrow.

Set to be the second out of the four matches slated to be host by this stadium this season, it will be the third home match for Thunder. Reeling at the bottom of the points table on the back of a lone win and three losses in four matches, Thunder would be desperate to get their act together on Tuesday.

Heat, meanwhile, will be taking part in their second away match. Having won just one out of their three matches, Brisbane wouldn’t want to go down Sydney’s way by losing another match so early in the tournament.

It is noteworthy that Heat have had the better of Thunder over the years. The fact that ST have never defeated BH out of three attempts at this venue sums up how they are yet to crack the code with respect to beating this particular opposition at home.

Thunder, however, would be taking confidence from the fact that they have won three out of their last five matches against Heat. Played a year ago at the Gabba, the last match between these two teams had witnessed Thunder successfully defending 197-run target by 53 runs.
