Mohammad Siraj is on a roll at the moment, and he is proving it game after game that is why he is the most important pacer of the Indian team at the moment. In the Hyderabad ODI, India posted a score of 349-8, courtesy of a brilliant double century from Shubman Gill. The Indian team had a wonderful start, where Siraj bowled an excellent opening spell (5-2-20-1). Siraj later took the wickets of Tom Latham, Mitchell Santner and Henry Shipley to break the back of New Zealand’s batting.
Siraj took four wickets by conceding just 46 runs and was the best bowler of the side. He was excellent in the last series against Sri Lanka as well. In the absence of Jasprit Burmah, Siraj has well and truly taken care of the Indian pace bowling.
Mohammed Siraj gifts Apple iPhone and G-Shock watch to Mohammed Shafi
Mohammed Siraj is a local Hyderabad boy, and there is a lot of craze about him in the city. Siraj’s mother talked to Indian Express about how Siraj came one day earlier than expected at home and surprised everyone. She said that he just asked her for good wishes for the game.
Siraj’s mother said that they did not allow any of Siraj’s friends to come to their home during his international debut as his father’s mourning was going on. Siraj’s close friend Mohammed Shafi was present in the stadium to watch his friend play, and he was sitting with Siraj’s family only.
Shafi was chuffed about Siraj and proudly showed the gifts that Siraj bought for him. He said that Siraj gifted him an iPhone and a G-Shock smartwatch. Both Siraj and Shafi used to play tennis ball cricket together in local stadiums.
“Siraj and Shafi used to hang out together at all times. Bachpan ka dost hai,” (Siraj and Shafi are childhood friends and they used to hangout together) Mohammed Shami’s mother introduced Mohammed Shafi to Indian Express.
“Yei dekhiye…. iPhone (See this, iPhone). This was gifted by Siraj. And also this smartwatch. There is another G-Shock watch that he presented me on my birthday, I’ve kept it safe because it is expensive,” Shafi says about his “priceless friend” Mohammed Siraj.
