David was born in Singapore but moved to Australia with his family when he was just two-year old. He spent his whole childhood in Perth only. David started playing cricket because of his father only who played international cricket for Singapore and then division cricket in Australia.
David got his first rookie contract with Western Australia in 2018 but got released the very next year. In 2019, for playing opportunities, he again moved to Singapore where he made his international debut against Qatar. He holds citizenship of both the countries.
