India captain Virat Kohli has once again allured the attention of his fans after a video of him bowling in a warm-up match has gone viral across social media platforms.
Posted on the official handle of BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), the 13-second video witnesses Kohli bowling to opposition captain Lokesh Rahul. In the video, wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha is seen as Rahul’s partner at the other end.
It is worth mentioning that the highlights or even the scoreboard of the ongoing intra-squad match simulation isn’t available on any platform as the same isn’t an official warm-up match. Having said that, according to a tweet posted by the BCCI, Rishabh Pant has scored a quickfire century to follow Shubman Gill’s half-century.
The fact that Rahul is captaining the second team ahead of the likes of Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma hints at India playing their probable Playing XI against the reserve players.
In the photos which were posted by the BCCI yesterday, Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubman Gill were seen batting together with Kohli seen padded up in the dugout. The same puts more weight behind the aforementioned assumption.
