WATCH: Fan Flies Kite During DC vs CSK IPL 2023 Match at Arun Jaitley Stadium

Fans engaging themselves in a totally different activity in the pursuit of leisure in the middle of a fascinating cricket match is quite common in cricket stadiums across the world. Speaking particularly of the ongoing 16th season of the Indian Premier League, last week has witnessed a couple of uncommon activities being performed whilst players were fighting it out in the middle.

If a fan enjoying Lucknow Super Giants all-rounder Marcus Stoinis‘ hard-hitting batting on his mobile phone whilst sitting inside the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium wasn’t enough for an unusual scene, another fan was spotted flying a kite during a Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday.

A viral video on social media platform Twitter sees a middle-aged man running after a completely different form of amusement at the time when an IPL match was in progress.

It is noteworthy that kite flying is nothing short of an event across the Northern India. Having said that, it is mostly practiced during the festival months in the winter season and not in a peak summer month such as May.

Flop IPL 2023 For Delhi Capitals

In what was their last match of the season, Capitals ended up losing for the ninth time. A colossal 77-run defeat saw them getting reduced to 146/9 whilst chasing a mammoth 224-run target. As a result, the David Warner-led franchise has finished at the ninth position on the points table with their five wins giving them only 10 points.

In what is the 10th instance of a league stage exit for Delhi, a shambolic start including losing five matches on the trot had made qualifying for IPL 2023 playoffs difficult for them from the word go.
