WATCH: Ravi Bishnoi and Swapnil Singh Involved in Nasty Collision While Saving 4 Runs at Ekana Sports City

Lucknow Super Giants spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Swapnil Singh were involved in a nasty collusion near the boundary in Indian Premier League 2023 Match 63 on Tuesday. Both running in desperation to save a boundary ended up crashing into each other in what didn’t seem to be the most pleasing of sights on a cricket field.

It all happened on the fourth delivery of the ninth over when Mumbai Indians wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan (59) nailed a sweep against Lucknow captain Krunal Pandya (49 & 0/27) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium tonight.

Having found the gap to perfection, Kishan hit the ball right in between Bishnoi and Singh at deep mid-wicket and deep square leg respectively. While Bishnoi was running towards his left, Singh was running towards his right. With their eyes firmly on the ball, neither of the two realized how they were going to bump into one another.

An unpleasant smash-up resulted in Bishnoi getting hurt after getting his back hit by Singh’s thigh. In addition to not being able to save the boundary, Bishnoi was seen immediately walking off the ground.

Thankfully, for the hosts, Bishnoi didn’t suffer a major injury just like Pandya tonight. Back to the ground within the span of a couple of deliveries, Bishnoi resumed bowling under normal circumstances to put on display an affirmative sign for the home team.

In addition to bringing an end to a 90-run opening partnership by dismissing Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma (37) in the 10th over, Bishnoi also sent his opening partner Kishan back to the pavilion in his next over. The 22-year old player picking bowling figures of 4-0-26-2 was a primary reason for the visitors finding themselves in a spot of bother after losing both their well-set batters within 10 deliveries.
