When will Ambati Rayudu and DJ Bravo return for CSK in IPL 2020?

Ambati Rayudu and DJ Bravo: Super Kings’ tried and tested batsman and all-rounder have been suffering from respective injuries.

Runners-up of the last season of Indian Premier League Chennai Super Kings have won and lost a match each so far in the ongoing 13th season of IPL.

While Super Kings thrived on a 115-run partnership between Faf du Plessis and Ambati Rayudu to seal a 163-run chase against Mumbai Indians in the season opener, they were found wanting against Rajasthan Royals last night due to a 121-run stand between Steve Smith and Sanju Samson.

Talking about their list of injured players, ‘Man of the Match’ from the first match Ambati Rayudu joined veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo to miss the match against Rajasthan.

When will Ambati Rayudu and DJ Bravo return for CSK in IPL 2020?

“[Ambati] Rayudu is not 100 percent,” Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had said during the toss yesterday. Giving a vital update about their 35-year old player, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan ensured the fans to not worry about Rayudu.

“Nothing to worry about. He has the hamstring injury, but will at worst miss one more game. But you never know, he might be fit in time for that game,” Viswanathan was quoted as saying by ANI. Going by Viswanathan’s words, only time will tell if Rayudu will turn up for CSK’s third match against Delhi Capitals on September 25.

However, according to ESPNcricinfo, both Rayudu and Bravo will regain fitness before their fourth match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on October 2. Bravo, who was earlier ruled out of the first two matches, is likely to miss the match against Delhi as well.

Coming on the back of a victorious campaign for Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League, Bravo is suffering from a knee injury which had forced him to not bowl in all CPL 2020 matches.
