Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala caught on camera laying the blame on Juventus midfield for loss vs Lyon in their Champions League clash.

Juventus were overwhelming favorites in their clash against Lyon in the Champions League round of 16. However, they succumbed to a surprising 1-0 loss. To make matters worse, the Italian champions failed to register a single shot on target!

The lack of potency in attack however, is to be blamed on Juventus’ midfielders according to Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala. The pair were having a chat in Spanish while waiting in the tunnel for the second half. However, they were unaware that there was a television camera behind them picking their conversation up.

“We are left alone out there, the midfielders are giving us no support,” Cristiano Ronaldo said.

“Nobody is getting the ball,” Dybala replied.

“I know, not even the second balls, nothing,” the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner added.

While they did fare better in the 2nd half vs Lyon, it was only a marginal improvement over their abysmal first half appearance.

The Old Lady have only won 3 of their last 7 games in all competitions now.

One can only wonder how the video has been received by the Juventus camp. However, one thing is for certain, Maurizio Sarri’s position as Juventus head coach is under threat, with the pressure on him getting more intense by the day.
