Former Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo sings Champions League likes his national anthem.

We can write a book about Cristiano Ronaldo’s displays in the Champions League over the last fifteen years. The Portuguese International is the record Champions League holder with five times within a decade which is a remarkable achievement.

Having made this European competition his own, Ronaldo has started to sing UEFA Champions League song when it was played before the game. The Champions League song is a bliss to the football watchers and Cristiano Ronaldo feels the same way by singing the song. He gave a famous rendition when Real Madrid took on Tottenham Hotspur at Santiago Bernabeu.

The fans were quick to notice Ronaldo singing the Champions League anthem and had their say about the same..

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 124 goals in the Champions League, 16 more than Lionel Messi who is second in the pile. Those two are in a different league as the former Real Madrid Skipper Raul is the third highest scorer with 71 goals in this particular competition. It was a tough start for Ronaldo with just one goal from six games in the competition, but he came back strongly to score a hat-trick and beat Atletico Madrid to progress to the Quarterfinals of the Champions League.

The 34-year-old shrugged off the history of the competition by confirming that he wants to lift the European trophy with Juventus and wants to be renowned at Turin.

“I don’t care [playing against Madrid]. The past is in the past; now I want to win with Juventus. I have to fight for these colours and nothing else matters. If I play against Real Madrid I would try to give my best.” said Ronaldo in an interview last December.

Adjusting to his new life in Turin, Cristiano Ronaldo says that Juventus are a family just like Real Madrid because of the complement within the bunch.

“I can say that this is the best group that I have played with. Here we are a team. In other places some feel bigger than the rest, but here they are all on the same level, they are humble and they want to win. If Dybala or Mandzukic don’t score, they are still happy and they smile. It’s really nice and I can see the difference. In Madrid they are humble but here I feel they are more so. It is very different from Madrid; this is a family.”

Finally, the subject of his ‘nemesis’ in LaLiga was brought up in the interview, the rivalry with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. he talked about his rivalry with Leo Messi. He does not find it strange that they no longer compete directly in the same league, although believes that the Argentinian genius possibly misses him more:

“I don’t miss Messi. I have played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal and in the national team while he has remained in Spain. Perhaps he needs me more.

“For me, life is a challenge. I like it and I like to make people happy. I would enjoy it if he came to Italy one day, accept the challenge as I did. However, if he is happy there, I respect that.

“He is a fantastic player and a good guy, but I don’t miss anything there. This is my new life and I am happy.” added Ronaldo.

Following Real Madrid’s exit from the Champions League, Juventus and Barcelona are currently seen as the favourites to lift the trophy this time. They will have to overcome a tricky Ajax side who destroyed the Los Blancos at the Santiago Bernabeu in the previous round. On the other hand, the Old Lady are 15 points ahead of Napoli in the league table and are on the cusp of winning their record eight straight league title.
