The Juventus star was written off early in the season. Many believed he was washed up and was done at the highest level. Ronaldo however, like he has throughout his career, made them eat their words with performances that would bring to shame a player a decade younger.
Mr. Champions League was at it again during the game against Lyon. With the scores tied at 1-1 and Juventus looking a little pedestrian in their attack, Ronaldo cut inside onto his left foot and blasted a left-footed thunderbolt past Lopes into the top corner of the near post.

Despite the beauty from Ronaldo, Juventus find themselves eliminated from the tournament unfortunately. The Italian Champions and Lyon had 2 goals apiece across both legs. However, the visitors had the advantage of an away goal. There may be no crowds but the emotion remains on and off the pitch with both sides reacting very differently to the result.
