Portugal will take on Iran later tonight in their third and final group game, as both look to secure place in the next round.

Cristiano Ronaldo is in the form of his life for Portugal in this year’s World Cup. Portugal has scored four goals in two games, and all the four have been scored by the Portuguese forward. With Portugal and Spain on four points each, and Iran with three points, it all comes down to the final match-day of Group B to determine the two teams which advance into the next round of the World Cup.

Portugal will take on Iran in a potential knock-out match, and it seems Iran’s fan are doing their best to distract Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo’s goal in the previous game took the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to 85 goals for Portugal, making him the highest European goalscorer at the international level. With the attacker in such red-hot form, Iran’s fans are justifiably nervous about the match. A loss for Iran would knock the Asian team out of the World Cup, while a draw would still hang them in balance as their chances would then depend on Morocco getting a result against Spain.

Conversely, some Iranian fans showed up with vuvuzelas in front of Portugal team’s hotel late at night, in a bid to run Ronaldo’s sleep.

The footage shows Cristiano Ronaldo coming out on the window, and making gestures signifying to the fans that they should sleep, and let him do the same.

Ronaldo is currently the second highest goalscorer in the World Cup this year, as Harry Kane overtook the Portuguese during England’s yesterday’s match against Panama.
