Cristiano Ronaldo transforms hotels to hospitals to help fight Coronavirus. The disease has become a global threat forcing an end to all sporting events around the world.
The Coronavirus outbreak has brought all football and several other sporting events to a halt. Several football clubs and players have spoken on the issue and the need to take care extreme care of oneself in these trying times.

Juventus star forward Cristiano Ronaldo launched a message on his social networks asking his fans to follow orders from the authorities. He wrote:
“I speak to you today not as a football player, but as a son, father, a human being concerned with the latest developments that is affecting the whole world.
“It is important we all follow the advice of WHO (World Health Organization) and the governing bodies on how we handle this current situation. Protecting human life must come above any other interests.
“I would like to send my thoughts to everyone who has lost someone close to them, my solidarity to those who are fighting the virus, like my teammate Daniele Rugani, and my continued support to the amazing health professionals putting their own lives at risk to save others.
Cristiano Ronaldo.”
The Portuguese star has since gone one step further to help contain the threat that has plagued the world.

According to Marca, Cristiano Ronaldo has transformed his range of hotels in Portugal into makeshift hospitals. The Spanish daily has also reported that the rooms will be available free of charge and Ronaldo himself will pay for the doctors and workers.
So far, there have been no deaths related to the Coronavirus in Portugal. However, there have been 169 confirmed cases. In times like these, Ronaldo’s philanthropic gesture could be a massive help for both treatment and self-isolation if there’s a dearth of free beds.
