CSK Memes: Twitter users uploaded funny memes after CSK ended up on the losing side against Mumbai Indians.

During the 44th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians at Chennai, Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by 46 runs to register their seventh IPL 2019 victory.

Chasing a 156-run target, Super Kings never really got the momentum required in a chase. Right from losing opening batsman Shane Watson (8) in the first over itself to continually losing wickets at regular intervals, Super Kings were always seen in trouble in absence of regular captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

At the halfway mark, CSK had lost half their side with just 60 runs on the board. With 96 runs needed to win the next 10 overs with only five wickets in hand, Chennai gave the impression of lacking the fuel required to defeat Mumbai. It is worth mentioning that this is the second time that MI have defeated CSK in IPL 2019.

Chennai eventually got bundled out for 109 in the 18th over. Murali Vijay, who played his first match of the tournament, top-scored with 38 (35) with the help of three fours and a six. With bowing figures of 3.4-0-37-4, veteran fast bowler Lasith Malinga was MI’s highest wicket-taker.

After Super Kings captain Suresh Raina won the toss and chose to field, Mumbai scored 155/4 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. MI captain Rohit Sharma top-scored for his team registering his first IPL 2019 half-century. Before getting out in the 17th over, Sharma ended up scoring 67 (48) with the help of six fours and three sixes.

With bowling figures of 4-0-13-2, all-rounder Mitchell Santner was the pick of the bowlers for the hosts.
