CSK vs DC Man of the Match: Chennai Super Kings veteran cricketer was declared the Man of the Match for his all-round performance.

During the 50th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals at Chennai, Chennai Super Kings defeated Delhi Capitals 80 runs to register their ninth IPL 2019 victory.

With 18 points in 13 matches, Super Kings have once again reached the top of the points table and have enhanced their chances of finishing in top two in the points table.

Chasing a 180-run target, Delhi Capitals went thought a batting collapse despite batting exceptionally well in the powerplay. From scoring 59/2 in the powerplay to getting bundled out for 99 in the 17th over, Delhi completely lost track of the chase.

DC captain Shreyas Iyer, who came in to bat at No. 3, top-scored for his team scoring 44 (31) with the help of four fours and a six. With bowling figures of 3.2-0-12-4, veteran Super Kings leg-spinner Imran Tahir was the pick of their bowlers.

After Capitals captain Iyer won the toss and put the hosts in to bat, Chennai Super Kings posted a formidable 179/4 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Coming in to bat at No. 3 in the fourth over, CSK vice-captain Suresh Raina top-scored for his team scoring 59 (37) with the help of eight fours and a six.

However, it was Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni who changed the course of their innings. Coming in ot bat at No. 4 in the 14th over, Dhoni ended up scoring a praiseworthy 44* (22) with the help of four fours and three sixes to propel his team to a match-winning total.

In the second innings, Dhoni affected two stumping dismissals and grabbed a catch to win the Man of the Match Award for yet another time in IPL 2019.
