Shane Watson vs Kagiso Rabada
By no stretch has this been the same year for Sane Watson as the previous one. He’s come up with one good inning in the 12 matches he’s partaken in till now, something that has been a cause of concern for CSK throughout the season.
On the contrary though, what bodes well for the outfit is that he’s starting to regain his form as we head into the knock-out matches and with Faf du Plessis expected to miss out again, he’ll need to score big alongside Vijay.
It will be no mean task for him though with Delhi giving the new ball to the purple cap holder Rabada who with 25 wickets in 12 matches has been more than efficient. Watson’s travesties against the fast, swinging and jabbing back in pace deliveries are well known as Rabada will be eyeing up his chances in this encounter.
Imran Tahir vs Colin Ingram
While Delhi’s top 3 are coming up with the runs, it’s the middle-order that persists to be a cause of concern for the unit. Underwhelming and tentative batting has seen the side throw away the advantage given to it by the batsmen at the top of the pile and on a pitch that will favour the bowlers, Ingram will come into play.
He’ll most likely come in at a time when CSK have Tahir operating for them. In Ingram, Delhi have a batsman who won’t find it a travail to play the ominous spinning delivery and if he gets set, Delhi can make the most of the middle overs.
