CSK vs KXIP Dream11 Prediction: Dream11 Fantasy Tips for CSK vs KXIP as The SportsRush helps you form the best possible Dream11 team

CSK are back to their den and would be raring to go, so as to get over that defeat in Mumbai against arch-rivals MI. It was the first time the CSK death bowling and their top order was put under the pump and they failed to deliver. CSK’s nemesis this season is going to be flat decks, as spin wouldn’t be able to bail them out when the ball isn’t turning one bit.

Their batting unit seems a little short on confidence, as both Watson and Rayudu haven’t gotten off to starts this season like last time round. MS Dhoni has bailed them out once but the middle order in Raina, Jadhav and Bravo need to put their hand up too.

With dew becoming a massive factor in Chennai, the CSK spinners might find it difficult in the matches to come and scoring might become easier. In that scenario, the CSK batsmen need to find it within themselves to weather the storm and score freely like the last campaign.

KXIP seem to have their issues sorted, with Sam Curran emerging as their hero in the last game. Chris Gayle should be back into the mix for Saturday’s game and Moises Henriques too has joined the setup.

Let’s get to business now.

CSK vs KXIP Dream11 Prediction

Wicketkeeper

For the wicketkeeping slot, it is going to be a straight shootout between KL Rahul and MS Dhoni. KL Rahul’s batting position makes me get him into my side, as MS Dhoni batting at 5 might not get to face as many deliveries as KL Rahul. Also, it would be easier to hit the ball when it is new at the Chepauk, as later during the innings, on that sluggish CSK track, things could get really tricky for the batsmen.

Bowlers

It is going to be a spinner’s paradise at the Chepauk on Saturday and due to that, it would only be wise to get in as many spinners as you can into your team.

Imran Tahir and Mujeeb would be my first two bowling picks for this game, as the duo have been brilliant for their respective teams this season. Tahir had a brilliant first game at the Chepauk, when he bamboozled the RCB batsmen with his trickery. He took 3 wickets in that game and hasn’t looked back since. Get him in at all costs.

Mujeeb’s mystery spin hasn’t been utilised in the best possible way by Ashwin and co. However, on a spin friendly Chennai track, Ashwin would be itching to unleash his mystery man on that CSK top order. And with the CSK top order short on confidence, Mujeeb could spin his web around the CSK batsmen on Saturday; don’t go into this game without him.

For my final bowling pick, I would be getting in Harbhajan Singh, who I expect to be drafted in by CSK for Saturday’s game. Bhajji won CSK the game in the opening match of the IPL, dismissing Moeen Ali, ABD and Virat Kohli. He was dropped by CSK as the opposition did not have enough left-handers in their XI. But with KXIP having 3 left-handers in their top 7, I expect Harbhajan to return to the XI. If he doe, I get him in, else, I go in with Murugun Ashwin/Varun Chakravarthy(whoever plays).

All-Rounders

Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja would be my first two all-rounders for this game. The two Indian test spinners would love the Chepauk pitch and would be hoping to create a massive impact on the game on Saturday. With both these players also batting in the top 7, it gives us as Fantasy managers an opportunity to score some extra Dream11 Fantasy Points. Get them both in.

For my 3rd all-rounder spot, I will getting in the in-form Sam Curran into my side. Curran could be used at the death for his hard-hitting skills and also with the ball when he can dish out those in-swinging yorkers at will.

Batsmen

Chris Gayle would be returning to the KXIP setup by all means and will slot into my Dream11 team right away. He has been in terrific form for the Kings XI and while he might find it difficult to cope with the spin brilliance of CSK, if he tees off and you don’t have him in your Dream11 side, you are in for a massive, massive loss.

Mayank Agarwal has been one of the most consistent batsmen for KXIP this season, changing the course of the MI game single handedly and also getting the man of the match award for the same. Coming in at 3, he is there mostly to anchor the innings and with Dream11 not posing a lot of emphasis on the strike rate of batsmen, he is allowed to take his time and anchor the innings as he wants to. When the team needs some aggression, Mayank has that extra gear to go into as well.

On that little sticky wicket at the Wankhede in the game against MI, Kedar Jadhav was the one batsman who stuck around and got a fighting half-century. On a pitch that could be a little sluggish, Kedar Jadhav’s gritty stroke play could help you rack up some Dream11 points.

The fact that Kedar could also be used to bowl a few overs gives him a double scoring opportunity in Dream11 and hence gives you more reason to draft the in-form Kedar in.

For my final batting pick for this game, I go in with Suresh Raina, who seemed in terrific touch in the last game, but was dismissed following a freak catch on the boundary by Keiron Pollard. Moreover, Dhoni loves to use Raina as an off spin bowling option at Chennai and hence he too could provide us with a double Dream11 scoring option.
