Blazers superstar Damian Lillard has an incredible night at work, breaks NBA records in Double OT thriller against the Nuggets

The Portland Trailblazers lost a gut-wrenching Game 5 to the Denver Nuggets tonight. Despite Damian Lillard’s heroics, the Blazers fell short 147-140 in Double OT. Damian Lillard scored a game-high 55 points and dished 11 assists while shooting 12/17 from the deep. He also had the shots which sent the game into OT and OT2. Dame broke a playoff record of most 3s in a single game, which was previously held by Klay Thompson at 11.

Despite Dame’s mind-blowing performance, the Blazers could not keep up with the Nuggets in OT2 and lost the game there. The Nuggets now hold a 3-2 lead as they head back to Portland for Game 6.

NBA Twitter reacts to Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard had a playoff performance for the ages tonight. Despite not being able to secure the win, Dame’s performance would remain in NBA History for a long time to come. Since Dame was ruling the court during Dame time, the NBA Twitter rose up in awe.

There were a bunch of NBA players showing their excitement and amazement at Damian Lillard’s performance.

Damian Lillard and his Blazers now head home and prepare for Game 6. They need to buckle up, as their next game is a win-or-go-home. Nuggets take on the Blazers for Game 6 on Thursday.
