David De Gea: Manchester United’s scouts spotted the replacement for the Red Devils’ allegedly summer outgoing goalkeeper De Gea.
Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper is set to leave with the club, after the failure of contract renewal negotiations between the two parties as the Red Devils are not willing to meet the demands of the Spanish International.
On the other hand, it is being reported that PSG are ready to match the demands of the 28-year-old goalkeeper and can be obtained at a reasonable price of £60 million as the Spaniard has only one year remained with his contract with the English club.
Thus, it seems that Ole Solskjaer is ready to make De Gea depart this year by earning a decent price, instead of burning him through his contract.
Further, De Gea’s consistent high profile errors this year, which costed several games to Manchester United have made him less desirable in Ole Solskjaer’s side.
In recent advancements by Manchester United, according to the Goal, it is reported that Manchester United’s scouts have spotted Lille’s goalkeeper Mike Maignan to replace De Gea in the Old Trafford.
The Lille goalkeeper has been a crucial player for the French club this season, as because of his services between the two goal-posts have helped Lille to finish second in this season of Ligue 1.
The 23-year-old has the potential to replace the Spanish International at Manchester United and would be a bargain, if he justifies his potential in the coming years.
Moreover, it would give relief to the Red Devils from the stalled negotiations with De Gea. On contrary, his sale will aid in funding of other reinforcements required at the club amidst massive plans of squad overhaul by Ole Solskjaer this summer.
On the other hand, PSG also require to upgrade their goal-keeping department as Alphonse Areola and Gianluigi Buffon have failed to thwart goals. Thus, making De Gea a viable upgrade in Les Parisiens’ squad.

If united lose De gea this season their no.1 replacement is Lille keeper Mike Maignan. They would hope to nail down a long term deal with young Frenchman keeping him at the club for years to come. #mufc

Onana seems a bit of a theatrical goalkeeper. I'd rather move for the player Ajax would replace him with – Mike Maignan. He seems a lot more robust with his saves
