In what was easily the best match of the season so far, Manchester United beat Arsenal 3-1 away as Jose Mourinho’s team won an enthralling match to keep pace with Manchester City.

In spite of a superb attacking display from Arsenal, the Gunners just could not get past the seemingly unbeatable David De Gea who was underlined his credentials as one of the best keepers in the game today.

The evolution of David De Gea from a promising keeper to a world class shot stopper has been a sight to behold over the years.

At first when he came to Old Trafford, De Gea struggled to deal with the physicality of the Premier League as the then teenager faced a rude culture shock during his first few months in England.

The last two seasons though have seen De Gea develop into one of the best if not THE best goal keeper in the world today. His shot stopping is right up there with the best in the world and has greatly improved his dealings with the aerial balls.

But as De Gea’s star continues to grow, Manchester United will slowly find it more difficult to hold on to their star player. Real Madrid have been long time admirers of De Gea as they came very close to signing the player a couple of summer ago.

Had it not been for a malfunctioning fax machine, De Gea would have become a Real Madrid player. But as fate would have it, De Gea continued his stay at Old Trafford and Real were left to rue their near miss.

While United fans remain confident that De Gea will remain at United for life, Real Madrid have not yet given up hope in landing the Spanish number one. And they are being helped by De Gea’s refusal to rule out a move to the Spanish capital.

The Spaniard knows his worth and realizes that he will once again be involved in a transfer tussle between two of the biggest clubs in the world which is why he has some major demands that need to met by Real Madrid.

De Gea wants to have bumper contract at Real and get paid as much as club captain Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale. This will make De Gea the second highest earner at the club behind the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo.

Now it is upto Real Madrid to match De Gea’s demands!
