DC vs KXIP 2019

DC vs KXIP 2019: The Sportsrush presents before you three intriguing player battles ahead of the 37th match of IPL 2019.

The Northern derby is upon us once the Western derby gets over. The Delhi Capitals will look to continue their good form in the League by getting the better of their counterpart. They need to trust their bowlers to deliver and the batting order is strong enough to win them games.

KXIP, who were looking dicey in this tournament with mixed performances, finally seem to have found a winning combination. Injuries to as many as four players might hamper their chances though.

Let us take a look at some of the exciting player battles on display tomorrow night:

Kagiso Rabada vs Lokesh Rahul

Rabada has been in tremendous form and holds the Purple Cap as well. His accuracy and speed has troubled the best of batsmen. KL Rahul has been having a fantastic tournament and has looked to play deep into the innings and guide the KXIP score. Rabada will have to have some tactical plans to remove Rahul early and break the KXIP backbone. Rahul does struggle a bit against the moving deliveries and that is what Rabada should exploit.

Shikhar Dhawan vs Ravichandran Ashwin

Ashwin has been having an amazing season with the ball. He has picked up 11 wickets out of which Dhawan is one.
Shikhar Dhawan has had some issues playing Ashwin’s variations and especially the ball moving away from him has troubled him.

The KXIP skipper will need to utilize this to his advantage and get the southpaw’s wicket early before he can do damage. We know when Dhawan gets going, it is difficult to stop him.

Amit Mishra vs Mayank Agarwal

The Kotla pitch will be helping the spinners like we saw a day back when DC played MI there. Mayank Agarwal has been making many people sit up and take note of his performance. He has been breathtakingly amazing and has very good technique.

However, in his last two innings, he has fallen prey to leg-spinners who have managed to deceive him. Amit Mishra would be wanting to do just that and bowl some good lengths on the helpful pitch to send the young Indian batsman to the dugout as soon as possible.
