De Gea after game against Tottenham: The Spaniard put forward an incredible goalkeeping display to ensure a win for United.
Manchester United registered their sixth successive victory under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they defeated Tottenham 1-0.
Marcus Rashford scored the sole goal in the game at the brink of halftime as David de Gea put on a goalkeeping masterclass.
The Spanish goalkeeper made 11 saves in the second half as he denied the Tottenham attackers from finding an equalizer.
De Gea was awarded the man of the match for his performance in front of the goal, and talked about his performance and the atmosphere around the club after Solskjaer’s appointment.
De Gea after game against Tottenham:
David de Gea produced a world class performance against Pochettino’s side as he negated consistent attacking threats from Tottenham’s attackers.
He was awarded the man of the match for the game, and spoke for the post-match interview, where he reflected on his performance. He also took a seeming dig at Jose Mourinho, stating that Ole’s arrival has brought ‘happiness’ at Manchester United.
🍾Man of the Match, @ManUtd’s David De Gea 🍾

Can understand people saying that De Gea wasn’t overly extended by the majority of his saves but being as busy as that, you feel you’ve played a huge part in the win. A save is a save. His positioning and decision making was faultless and his use of his feet was exceptional.

“He (Ole) brings some happiness, the team are playing well,” De Gea said.
“We know how to keep the ball, make some chances. We controlled the first half but in the second half they put more pressure on us. It was a great game, I felt good after the first two saves.
“This was the real Manchester United,” he stated.
That’s exactly why the phrase ‘just hit the target’ is bollocks. It’s The @premierleague, you need to be brave enough to miss the target to score goals. Spurs too safe with their finishing. Another world class performance from @D_DeGea
