De Gea after game against Tottenham: The Spaniard put forward an incredible goalkeeping display to ensure a win for United.

Manchester United registered their sixth successive victory under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they defeated Tottenham 1-0.

Marcus Rashford scored the sole goal in the game at the brink of halftime as David de Gea put on a goalkeeping masterclass.

The Spanish goalkeeper made 11 saves in the second half as he denied the Tottenham attackers from finding an equalizer.

De Gea was awarded the man of the match for his performance in front of the goal, and talked about his performance and the atmosphere around the club after Solskjaer’s appointment.

David de Gea produced a world class performance against Pochettino’s side as he negated consistent attacking threats from Tottenham’s attackers.

He was awarded the man of the match for the game, and spoke for the post-match interview, where he reflected on his performance. He also took a seeming dig at Jose Mourinho, stating that Ole’s arrival has brought ‘happiness’ at Manchester United.

“He (Ole) brings some happiness, the team are playing well,” De Gea said.

“We know how to keep the ball, make some chances. We controlled the first half but in the second half they put more pressure on us. It was a great game, I felt good after the first two saves.

“This was the real Manchester United,” he stated.

With this win, Manchester United are now level on points with the fifth-placed Arsenal. The side has also reduced the gap with Tottenham to seven points, and will now take on Brighton in the next game-week.
