When it finally looked like the David De Gea saga came to an end earlier last month, multiple reports claim that Real Madrid are prepared to bid for the Spanish goalkeeper yet again.
The Daily Star claim that Los Blancos will launch a £60million bid in the hope of snapping up the 26-year-old. But United will reject that offer immediately with Mourinho reluctant to let him go.
Reports claim that Mourinho has ridiculed the price Madrid has offered for their star keeper and has made it clear that De Gea is not for sale.
Back in May, when questioned about De Gea’s future at the club, Mourinho said he fully expected the goalkeeper to make the starting line-up.
“[When will] David [play]? I think the first match against LA Galaxy in pre-season,” Mourinho told BBC Sport.
“I hope to play Joel Pereira against Palace and Sergio in the Europa final. David is top of the world and obviously we want to keep him.”
It is no secret that De Gea does eventually hope to make a return to his homeland for professional and personal reasons.

He believes that making a move back to Madrid would pin down his spot as Spain’s number 1, although in all fairness he has already accomplished that.
Sources claim that De Gea has asked his representatives to keep him informed of Real Madrid’s true intentions.

However reports claim that Man United is not willing to sell De Gea to Real Madrid.
Transfer relations between the clubs has not been smooth in recent times , what with the fiasco over the transfer of De Gea a couple of years and with the Morata negotiations.
The Spain international did nearly move to the Bernabeu two years ago, with Keylor Navas meant to go in the opposite direction.
However, in what is regarded as one of the biggest transfer goof ups in recent times, a move ultimately fell through due to paperwork problems with both clubs then attempting to pin the blame on each other.
Two years gone and Real are yet again attempting to sign the United star.
David De Gea moved to United way back in 2011 from Atletico Madrid and after initial struggles, has established himself as United’s number one and also as one of world’s best goalkeepers, if not the very best.
In his six years with the club from Old Trafford he has won 1 Premier League Title, 1 FA Cup, 1 Europa League Cup , 1 English League Cup and 2 Community Shield.
De Gea was also awarded the Sir Matt Busby’s Manchester United player of the year three times in a row.
Before Mourinho took over he has often been the only bright spark in otherwise disappointing campaigns for the Reds since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
It will be interesting to see how the transfer saga will proceed in the coming days and chances are that it will go right down to the wire.
Both clubs are currently in the US on their pre-season tours, with United’s opening game against LA Galaxy coming this weekend.
