Denis Suarez to Arsenal: The club’s top target has spoken about his future at Barcelona.

Arsenal are currently 5th in the Premier League. The Gunners have had an impressive season so far, as Unai Emery’s side is on a 21-game unbeaten run across all competitions.

However, Arsenal are still 10 points behind, albeit with a game in hand behind league leaders Manchester City. The side will be up against the relegation-threatened Southampton in the Premier League later tonight.

Even when Arsenal have been in good form at the moment, Unai Emery is keen on bringing in more players in the January transfer window.

Barcelona’s Denis Suarez has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners reportedly preparing a 14 million pounds bid to bring the Barca midfielder to the Emirates Stadium. Suarez has now spoken about his future at the Catalan club.

Denis Suarez to Arsenal:

The 24-year old has found himself out of favour with Barcelona’s manager Ernesto Valverde, as the player has only made five appearances for the club this season.

Moreover, Denis Suarez has played for only 8 minutes in the La Liga, with four of the five games in the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

English media outlet Independent has reported that Denis Suarez’s entourage has been told that his services aren’t required at Barcelona, and that the midfielder will be available for a cut-price 14 million pounds.

Reports from Spain have also revealed that Denis Suarez has been given the green light to make a move to Arsenal. And now, the midfielder has also spoken about his future at Arsenal, stating that he could leave the club if the lack of game time continues.

“I work to play and I’m not having minutes, if I do not play … we’ll see,” Suarez said, as reported by Sun.

“I want to play, today I was able to enjoy and I felt good, comfortable, I want to play as much as possible.”

However, Suarez stated that his intention is to stay and prove the manager Ernesto Valverde that his place belongs in the Barcelona XI.

“I go into this season with a lot of excitement. I am eager for this to be my year and to be able to have more involvement than in previous campaigns.

“Maybe I have this feeling even more than I did in other years. I hope to make the most of any absences there have been in my position.

“My intention is to stay here and his intention is for me to stay,” Suarez said about Valverde.
