Denis Suarez twitter activity: The Barca midfielder has liked a post criticizing the manager on Twitter.

Barcelona will be up against Sevilla as they return to La Liga action this weekend. Ernesto Valverde’s side is winless in their last four La Liga games, and would aim at ending the poor run in the league later today.

The Catalan side has slipped to 3rd position in the league after Deportivo Alaves registered a win over Celta Vigo yesterday. Valverde’s men would enter the field against Sevilla to reclaim their position at the top of the table.

Barcelona are marginally benefitted by a slump in form of arch-rivals Real Madrid, who they face next weekend. Julen Lopetegui’s side has been goalless in their last four games across all competitions, and have scored only 14 points from 8 games.

Outside the field, things have been largely controversial for Barcelona. The controversy surrounding Arturo Vidal’s annoyance at Valverde made headlines all over the Spanish press, and Denis Suarez has now joined the Chilean midfielder.

The Spanish footballer has liked a post which criticizes Ernesto Valverde.

Denis Suarez is yet to make an appearance for Barcelona this season. Suarez began his career at Celta Vigo, and after a brief span at English side Manchester City, the midfielder returned to Spain with a move to Barca’s B side.

After his first top-flight season at Villarreal, he returned to Barcelona in 2016. In the two seasons he has been with Barcelona, Denis Suarez has made 44 La Liga appearances and played 63 overall games for the club.

However, he has been sidelined since the beginning of the season, and is still awaiting his first minutes on the pitch for the club.

After his long absence, he finally took to Twitter to seemingly show his annoyance at not being able to play. He liked a post on Twitter which said, “Give him a real coach and we’ll find the player he is.”

Here’s the post:

What next?

There has not been a statement from Barcelona on the issue. The club’s general manager did speak on Vidal’s social media activity, insisting that the Chilean has let his players down and that he should apologize.
