Did Jose Mourinho refuse to shake Frank Lampard’s hands after Chelsea’s win over Tottenham in their Premier League clash?

Frank Lampard became the first ever manager to inflict two defeats on a Jose Mourinho led side in the league within a single season. Chelsea went 1-0 up through Olivier Giroud’s fine finish in the first half. Marcos Alonso then added to the score in the 2nd half to double their lead.

Tottenham were given a glimmer of hope when Antonio Rudiger scored an own goal in the dying minutes of the match. However, Chelsea held on to their lead and completed the win. A video has since been doing the rounds which shows Mourinho ignoring Lampard as the Chelsea legend approached his former manager for the customary post-match handshake. However, it appears that all is not what it seems to be.

In the video, we can see Mourinho make his exit as Lampard went for the handshake. However, a Twitter User has since posted a picture proving that the two managers did in fact shake hands before the Portuguese made his way to the tunnel.

The view was merely obstructed with several men walking in front of them.

Mourinho however, was clearly bitter at the loss following the unavailability of his strikers due to injuries.

“Look at Chelsea they played a World Cup winning striker up front, England’s second striker on the bench, and Belgium’s second striker in the stands. We had no strikers on the pitch, no strikers on the bench and two in the hospital,” he said after the match.
