DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods-Part 2 releases today! Here is all you need to know...

A trailer for the iconic DOOM game was released yesterday and lo and behold, the game is set to release today! Apparently, Bethesda wanted to give their Doom fans a surprise. Here is all you need to know about the trailer and what you can expect from the game.

Doom has been the object of attention for most hardcore first-person shooter fans ever since their teens. The game was first released on 10th December 1993. Since then, it has had 4 other releases including the latest addition DOOM Eternal. The Ancient Gods-Part 2 is set to release today and is a DLC of DOOM Eternal.

DOOM is known for its gore-filled action sequences and cool futuristic weapons. Not to mention the awesome heavy metal soundtracks that the game makes use of in-game. This makes the overall experience of the game seriously amazing.

However, one common, easily overlooked aspect of the game is its optimization. The game can get 100+ FPS on a potato PC. Even mid-range gaming PCs can get to the 200 FPS frame cap with no issues. If you happen to have an RTX 30 series GPU, then you should consider giving DOOM a try. The developers of the game are masters at conserving resources and freeing unused textures. This allows for the game to give hardly any load on your CPU.

What’s new with the DLC?

For starters, the trailer shows the Doom Slayer riding a DRAGON. This would be the coolest thing ever if we get to actually control the dragon or if it helps us slay monsters. The visuals also show that the levels look completely different from that of DOOM Eternal. However, another thing that caught our eye was the Giant Robot fighting a Titan.

As if the above things weren’t enough to catch our attention, there is also a new hammer. It looks a lot like Stormbreaker from Avengers but red in color. The trailer also showcases a war between Hell and the brethren of the Doom Slayer. This could very well signify the end of the war against Hell.

The DLC is available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Stadia so be sure to check it out!
