"Dream debut": Yuvraj Singh reacts to Ishan Kishan scoring half-century on T20I debut vs England

Yuvraj Singh reacts to Ishan Kishan: The former Indian all-rounder eulogized the debutant batsman for making a statement.

During the second T20I of the ongoing England’s tour of India in Ahmedabad, India opening batsman Ishan Kishan scored a half-century on debut to make the most the opportunity provided to him.

Opening the batting with Lokesh Rahul (0) in a 165-run chase, Kishan got going by flicking his first delivery in international cricket for a boundary.

Kishan, who followed it up with a pull off Tom Curran in the next over, then attacked the same bowler in the last over of the powerplay hitting him for a couple of boundaries and a six.

Following captain Virat Kohli in the seventh over, Kishan also hit England all-rounder Ben Stokes for a six as the English bowlers seemed to be clueless against the debutant.

It was in the 10th over of the innings Kishan attacked England spinner Adil Rashid to his him for two consecutive sixes to register a 28-ball half-century. In addition to scoring runs, the dominating manner in which Kishan scored them spoke highly of his skill.

Having shared a 94-run partnership alongside Kohli, Kishan justified the team management’s decision of opening with him in place of Shikhar Dhawan by scoring 56 (32) with the help of five fours and four sixes.
