Ecuador Vs Chile Dream11 Prediction: The SportsRush brings you the Dream11 prediction between Ecuador and Chile.

Chile will conclude the Round 2 matches with a trip to Salvador, Brazil to face Ecuador. In the first round game, the defending champs beat Japan 4-0 with goals coming from Eduardo Vargas, Alexis Sanchez and Erick Pulgar. On the other hand, Ecuador were on the losing side of a 4-0 game vs Uruguay. If form and team quality are to say anything, Chile is going roll over Ecuador in tomorrow’s game.

Formation: 4-3-3

GOALKEEPER

Gabriel Arias: Chilean goalkeeper Arias my obvious choice for this game. He gave a good performance against Japan saving three shots, two from inside his own half. The 31-year-old is in good form and will most likely keep another clean sheet against a weak Ecuador.

DEFENDERS

Gary Medel: Captain of the two-time Champions, Medel is my first pick at defence. He had a solid game last time out, winning five of his eight duels, and was dribbled past zero times. The Besiktas defender is extremely physically imposing and it’s really difficult to get past him.

Mauricio Isla: First choice right back of the team, Isla is extremely attacking and has very good stamina even at 31. Isla assisted Chile’s second goal of the game, and put in three accurate long balls. He was constantly involved in every buildup and his name on the assist charts is more than justified.

Jean Beausejour: Isla’s partner in crime, Jean starts on the left flank of defence. He’s 35 years old, but won most of his duels, run up and down the wing throughout the game and won 100% of his dribbles. He was a rock at defence and we can expect another strong performance from him.

Gabriel Achillier: Ecuador’s captain plays at the heart of their defence. He was the only one keeping the team together in what was an extremely disappointing performance. Achillier intercepted the ball six times, won 100% of his tackles and even came out on the better end on ⅗ of his duels.

MIDFIELDERS

Antonio Valencia: Valencia is a committed performer who can play as a fullback and winger, both. The Manchester United captain was up against a strong Uruguay defence but managed to win eleven 1v1s. Valencia helped out the defence on several occasions, which wasn’t enough though, unfortunately.

Ayrton Preciado: Preciado started on the left wing vs Uruguay. He was extremely disappointing in the last game but we can expect him to show more character vs Chile. I’ve also selected Ayrton because of a lack of better options in midfield from Ecuador.

Charles Aránguiz: Arguably the best player for Chile in the last game, Aránguiz was majestical from the CM position. He assisted two of his team’s four goals. To top it off, he made seven key passes, completed nine long balls and accurately delivered four crosses, too. The Leverkusen man has set the bar too high for any midfielder in the tournament, and we can only expect him to give a similar if not better performance.

FORWARDS

Alexis Sanchez(VC): Arguably the biggest name in the Chilean lineup, Alexis’s past season can only be described as subpar. However, when it comes to his National team, Sanchez elevates his game. He started the previous game, scored once, assisted once and then came off to huge applause at the 87th minute. The 30-year-old created several chances, won 66% of his duels and was fouled five times which paved way for dead ball situations. He’s my Vice Captain for the game, and is priced absolutely right at ten credits.

Eduardo Vargas(C): The Chilean striker scored 2 goals from his 2 shots on target vs Japan and played like a World Class poacher. His average positioning is very close to the box and his finishing from close range should be taken very seriously. Vargas won the Golden Boot and Golden Ball at the 2014 Copa America and knows the tournament and situations better than most. His goal scoring record with Chile makes him a perfect choice for the Captain’s role in my Dream11 team.

Enner Valencia: Surname sake of his vice-captain, Antonio, Enner was the only forward who tried anything in the previous game. He was constantly making off the ball runs into the box hoping he would get the right pass. Valencia missed a big chance in the previous game but he would surely score if he gets another.
