Eden Hazard: Former Chelsea star arrived at Real Madrid 7 kilos overweight

Eden Hazard: Former Chelsea star arrived at Real Madrid 7 kilos overweight adding yet another problem for Manager Zinedine Zidane.

Zidane was convinced that Hazard would contribute towards the revitalization of the Royal whites of Madrid. However, things haven’t exactly gone the way he would have wanted. Real have faltered in all 3 of their pre-season games. Their only win came through a penalty shoot out before being battered 7-3 by local rivals Atletico Madrid. His new signings are yet to deliver, and with the price tag they’ve joined the Spanish capital the pressure to perform is rising for Zidane.

A stone over

Hazard was hailed as the player to solve all of Real Madrid’s problems during his unveiling by club president Florentino Perez. Former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o even went on to compare him with Lionel Messi and said that winning the Ballon D’or was a real possibility for the Belgian. However, Hazard is yet to perform at his best. His dismal performance could be a result of his failure to maintain his physical fitness.

Eden Hazard reportedly arrived at the Santiago Bernanbeu, 7 kgs overweight. Fans had noticed Hazard looking a little bulky but now it has been confirmed.

No confidence

Sport have reported that Florentino has distanced himself from the signing of Hazard and has expressed no confidence the Belgian. He claims that the signing was made on Zidane’s behalf. If Hazard fails to perform now, life at the Bernabeu will become difficult for both Hazard and his advocate Zidane.
