However, he has suffered from fitness concerns owing to being a little out of shape and injuries. This has taken a toll on his performances on the pitch. Constantly being compared to Cristiano Ronaldo has not helped his case either.

However, he finally got to prove why Real Madrid were so eager to sign him this afternoon during Real Madrid vs Eibar. Real Madrid won the match with a score of 4-0. A brace from Benzema and goals from Ramos and Valverde took the game beyond their hapless opponents.

Despite not being on the scoresheet however, the former Chelsea star firmly established his position as a Galactico by being the best player on the pitch. Although he shone through the match, his defining moment came in the 24th minute.

In the 24th minute of the match, Hazard ran with the ball and produced a back-heel nutmeg on the half-way line, beat two players and then delivered a Rabona cross. The cross was however, blocked or we could have witnessed an assist of the year candidate.

After spending several years in the Premier league, it is only natural that the 28-year old will need some time to settle in the Spanish league. However, today could possibly be his coming of age in the La Liga. This is quite possibly the start of something beautiful; one that blessed the Stamford Bridge for so many years before.
