Eden Hazard Replacement: David Luiz throws massive hint at Eden Hazard's replacement at Chelsea

David Luiz has claimed that Callum Hudson-Odoi would make a suitable replacement for Eden Hazard at Chelsea.

Chelsea thumped Arsenal 4-1 in the Europa League final at Baku, Azerbaijan on Wednesday. Olivier Giroud opened the scoring in the second half, before the lead was extended by three through the attacking duo Pedro and Eden Hazard. Alex Iwobi pulled one back for the Gunners, but Eden Hazard completed a brace to round off a scintillating display.

In an interview after the game, Eden Hazard was asked if he had played the last game for the Blues. The Belgian International has confirmed that Real Madrid and Chelsea are in discussions to conclude a deal in the coming days.

“I’ve made my decision and I told Chelsea two weeks ago. I’m just waiting on both clubs to decide now. I think it’s goodbye. I’ve done this for 7 years and now it’s time for a new challenge.” said Eden Hazard to BT Sport.

Nobody at Chelsea wants him to leave, especially with the transfer ban at stake currently. But, the Belgian has already made up his mind and the move will prove unstoppable to intervene as he has already mentioned that featuring for Real Madrid as his ‘ childhood dream’.

Chelsea did well in the second half of the game and David Luiz was prompt in keeping the defensive organization. The Brazilian played a huge part in keeping the defensive organization to not let Arsenal find the back of the net.

He said that Callum Hudson-Odoi would make a suitable replacement for Eden Hazard.

“Either Messi or Ronaldo,” Luiz joked at first.

“I think if he goes I just wish him all the best. He is a fantastic player, friend and guy. I’ve known him ever since he was here at so young. I am so happy for him because the world knows who Eden Hazard is.

“We have many (who could replace Hazard). Callum (Hudson-Odoi) is great.

“Callum has known this club since he was young and he has the talents to one day try to be like Eden. It is a new story for Callum. It didn’t start so well because of the injury but it is time for him to improve in other sides (of his game).”
