PSG star Neymar attacks fan after side's stunning loss in French Cup final to Rennes

PSG suffered a shock defeat in the final of the French Cup, and Neymar seemingly failed to keep a check on his anger as the team proceeded to collect its runners-up medals.

Paris Saint Germain haven’t been the same ever since the loss in the round-of-16 to Manchester United in the Champions League.

The side suffered a shocking 3-1 defeat in the second leg at Parc des Princes which ended its European campaign.

PSG faced another disappointing result last night, as they lost in the final of the French Cup to Rennes on penalties. The side took a comfortable two-goal lead in the opening few minutes of the game, but an own goal from Presnel Kimpembe and a 66th-minute strike from Edson Andre Sitoe turned the tide in Rennes’ favour.

The match went to penalties, where Rennes emerged 6-5 winners.

However, things turned ugly after the game as Neymar lashed out at a fan while proceeding to collect his runners-up medal.

Neymar lashes out at fan:

As the Brazilian forward proceeded to take the medal with his PSG teammates, he stopped on his track and had an animated conversation with a fan.

After a few seconds, Neymar pushed the fan and went ahead. The fan, meanwhile, didn’t react on the assault.

Take a look:

The French side only secured their Ligue 1 title last week, after facing two consecutive defeats in the top flight. The side registered a 3-1 win over Monaco, with Kylian Mbappe scoring a hattrick.

Neymar scored the second goal of the game against Rennes but failed to inspire the side to victory in the final. With the league already in the bag, PSG has only four games remaining where their manager Thomas Tuchel might be inclined to give youngsters an opportunity.
