Emiliano Sala missing: A body was found in the wreckage which was confirmed to be a part of the aircraft carrying Sala and David Ibbotson.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) confirmed on Monday that a body was found in the wreckage of the aircraft.

An occupant believed to be the travelling on the aircraft was found on the seabed near the wreckage which was confirmed to be a part of the aircraft carrying footballer Emiliano Sala and the pilot David Ibbotson.
The wreckage was found on Sunday night after the AAIB began an underwater search.

The aircraft lost signal on Monday two weeks ago and a rescue and recovery operation began immediately. It was called off three days later by the Guernsey Police. In a statement, the rescuers insisted that the chances of survival were ‘remote’.

Following the confirmation from the AAIB, tributes began to pour in for the lost duo.
Emiliano Sala’s sister, Romina Sala, meanwhile, posted an emotional message on her social media account.
She posted a picture of the footballer’s dog Nala staring out at the distance, and wrote, “Nala is waiting for you, too..”

It has been reported that Nala was one of the reasons Sala made the trip from Cardiff to Wales. According to Daily Mirror, the Argentinian footballer was making the arrangements for Nala to accompany her to Wales.
Earlier, Sala’s former club Nantes paid a heartfelt tribute to the footballer in their first game since the incident.
The referee stopped the game between Nantes and St. Etienne in the ninth minute of the match. The stoppage was followed by minute-long applause for the player.
Cardiff City’s fans also sang Emiliano Sala’s name after their 2-0 victory over Bournemouth in the club’s first home game since the incident.
The Premier League clubs observed minute-long silence as a tribute to Emiliano Sala last week.
