Timo Werner Chelsea Transfer Update: RB Leipzig manager gives additional hope to Chelsea

Timo Werner Chelsea Transfer Update: Julian Nagelsmann gave additional hope to Chelsea around Werner’s future with them.

Timo Werner’s transfer talk hasn’t moved further ever since it was reported that Chelsea had reached an oral agreement with the club and the player but is yet to trigger the release clause.

But amidst this, the RB Leipzig’s manager Julian Nagelsmann has given additional hope to Chelsea after he made an assuring statement regarding Werner’s future in Germany.

Nagelsmann has said there is now no way back for a player that has been hugely important to Leipzig over the last two seasons. He told DAZN: “I do not expect Timo to be here next season.”

With Bundesliga about to be over, Chelsea is probably waiting for the right time to trigger the release clause as few reports state that the Blues still have time to complete the deal.

Moreover, with no one else looking to hijack the deal, especially considering a lot of finances will be involved in it and the financial situation due to the current pandemic doesn’t allow many clubs to compete for the German striker.

Meanwhile, it has also been noted that Werner is absolutely convinced to be with Chelsea after he reportedly had a conversation with Frank Lampard, and he was explained about his role in the club.

Meanwhile, his compatriot Bernd Leno also backed his move to Chelsea. He told Sky Sports Germany: “I would be happy for him, Chelsea is a great choice, no question about it.
