EN-Y vs IN-Y Dream11 : India look to get final preparations before the summit clash underway as England and India meet in the final league stage encounter

A long and gruelling journey in the bedlam of the U19 Tri-Nation series is coming to an end with the summit clash set to be played in the upcoming days. And taking on each other in the final league stage encounter are hosts England and India for one last time before India make a foray into the final against Bangladesh U19.

While for India it’s been a relatively successful time, elsewhere for England U19 this series has come as a major disappointment. They have been thwarted in their bid to go on a successful spree of results, being trounced by the Asian countries in their own home conditions, a predicament which doesn’t bode well for the side ahead of next year’s World Cup.

And playing for one last time today, the home side will be looking to pull off a win against the Asian giants before they make way for India U19 and Bangladesh U19 to partake in the summit clash. They were defeated by 5 wickets by India the first time these two sides met in the marquee series before showing signs of resurgence as they managed to take India all the way, eventually falling short by the barest of margins as India pulled off a one wicket win.

England however were trounced by 72 runs by Bangladesh preceding that while India saw their previous encounter against Bangladesh being abandoned due to inclement weather. It sets the stage for a tasty encounter today, one which should see either side leave no stone unturned as India look to make it 3-0 against England while the hosts eye a solitary win against the Asian giants.

Pitch Conditions And Toss

We were treated to a massive run feast on this wicket the last time a match was conducted here with Bangladesh and England going onto score over 500 runs in between them in the first drawn match of the series. It was the highest score recorded in this series in a single encounter and expect this track to play akin to the one doled out the last time around.

The rain and overcast conditions should act as a determent to clean strokeplay in the early part of the innings with the ball is behaving over here but it shouldn’t be too much to deter the batsmen from amassing runs. This is a solid batting wicket, one where the side winning the toss will be looking to come out and chase on.

Probable Playing 11

Team News

  • With this being the final match for England, expect some changes in their side while India could look to give some new names a chance out in the middle before reverting to their original team for the final.

England U19

Ben Charlesworth, Tom Clark, Jack Haynes, Lewis Goldsworthy, George Balderson (C), Dan Mousley, George Hill (C), Finlay Bean (WK), Nick Kimber, Blake Cullen, Hamidullah Qadri

India U19

Thakur Tilak Verma, Divyansh Saxena, Shaswat Rawat, Priyam Garg (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Chand Jurel (WK), Shubhang Hegde, Purnank Tyagi, Ravi Bishnoi, Sushant Mishra, Karan

Probable Winner

Things have become tricky for India over the course of their previous two encounters, seeing the side struggle to win matches dominantly like they were doing in the early exchanges. The batting unit has let them down in particular with the side chopping and changing in a bid to give their entire squad a couple of matches.

However, if India’s batting looks tepid, unfortunately for England there’s is even more dismal. This should be a match where India’s bowlers bowl them out cheaply and take the side to consummate success.

Dream 11 Picks

Wicket-Keepers for EN-Y vs IN-Y Dream11

Scoring 122 in the previous encounter, the first match we was given a chance to come out and dole his expertise in, Jen Cox enters our side in this segment. It was an innings which saw him act as the fulcrum of his side in the opening slot, waging a lone battle at one end to compensate for the rest of the middle-order losing wickets at regular intervals.

Batsmen for EN-Y vs IN-Y Dream11

Number 3 bat Jack Haynes comes into our side as well after scoring 26 the last time around and being one of the most consistent batsman of his side across their stay in the series. George Hill got 46 the last time these two sides traversed past each other and he comes in as well for us for this particular encounter.

The 78 against India to set the foundation on his side’s win against the outfit see Yashasvi Jaiswal come in. The opener has been the best performer for India with the bat, coming up with runs on a persistent basis and we see him scoring a big score in this encounter as well. We have also opted to rope in Divyaansh Saxena after hs contribution of 33, one that saw him and Jaiswal stitch together a 85 run partnership.

 All-Rounders for EN-Y vs IN-Y Dream11

A 56 in 68 balls down the lower middle-order from George Balderson ensured England were able to salvage a draw against Bangladesh, rescuing his side from a precarious position. He’s massively impressed not only with the bat but ball as well ever since coming on in the last three matches for England and is an instant pick for us.

Although Shubhang Hedge’s participation for today’s match is not assured with India looking to give the rest of their squad a match as well, he’s someone we just can’t risk keeping out of our side. The best all-rounder of this Indian side, he’s contributed massively in both the departments, plying out his goods with conviction across the series.

Bowling Order for EN-Y vs IN-Y Dream11

With figures of 2-48 and 37 runs with the bat against India, Nick Kimber played out a complete performance against India, helping add much lost impetus to the side’s performance in that particular encounter. He’s paired alongside spinner Hamidullah Qadri while from India we have picked out the formidable duo of Purnank Tyagi and Sushant Mishra for this one.

Captain And Vice-Captain

We have decided to make Jaiswal our captain today while Sushant is the vice-captain.
