ENG vs WI Dream 11 Prediction: Best Dream11 team for today’s England vs West Indies Match 19 | TSR helps you with Dream 11 for CWC 2019.

The 19th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be played between England and West Indies at Southampton today. Given the nature of both the sides, don’t rule out the possibility of the match being a high-scoring clash at the Ageas Bowl.

With two wins in three matches, hosts England are currently at the third position in the points table. On the other hand, West Indies are at the sixth position. In the three matches that they have played so far, they have both won and lost a match each. Their previous match against South Africa was abandoned due to rain.

ENG vs WI Dream 11 Prediction

Wicket-keepers for ENG vs WI Dream 11

In what is an unusual scenario, I have picked as many as three wicket-keeper batsmen for this match. A primary reason behind the same is my urge to include more batsmen in my fantasy team for today.

After scoring 0 and 32 in the first two matches of the tournament, England opening batsman Jonny Bairstow finally scored his 10th ODI half-century against Bangladesh. In the five matches which Bairstow has played against West Indies in England, he has scored 302 runs at an average of 151 and a strike rate of 105.59 including a couple of centuries.

One of his century against West Indies at home came at Southampton itself. Numbers are evident of the fact that Bairstow is highly likely to be among the runs today.

England wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler regaining fitness has automatically brought him into my team. At 8.5 credits, Nicholas Pooran has it in him to become this team’s budget buy for this match. I am backing the southpaw to come good in a big match vs England.

Batsmen for ENG vs WI Dream 11

England opening batsman Jason Roy registering his ninth ODI century against Bangladesh in the last match yielded plentiful points for me. Much like his opening partner in Bairstow, even Roy has impressive numbers against this opposition and at this venue.

In seven ODI innings against West Indies, Roy has scored one century and three half-centuries. In six ODIs at Southampton, Roy has scored four half-centuries at an average of 55.33 and a strike rate of 103.42. Therefore, expect both the English openers to get going against West Indian new ball attack.

Veteran West Indies opening batsman Chris Gayle also finds a spot in my fantasy team. Having looked good in the tournament, perhaps this is the time when the senior batsman will stand tall on the reputation to hit the English bowlers to all part of the ground.

Much like Pooran, I am also backing West Indies middle-order batsman Shimron Hetmyer. At 8.5 credits, the left-handed batsman can come good for both you and the West Indies team today.

All-rounders for ENG vs WI Dream 11

My first all-rounder for today’s match is England’s Ben Stokes. In both England’s victories, Stokes was either among the wickets or runs. Citing the fact that he will play a vital role in both the innings, he should be able to yield points for you.

It goes without saying that my second all-rounder for this match is West Indies’ Andre Russell. Declared fit now, Russell would be looking to make amends in the batting department especially with respect to what he did against Australia.

Bowlers for ENG vs WI Dream 11

It will be the first time that England fast bowler Jofra Archer will be playing against his native country in West Indies. The English spearhead will hold the key when it will come to restricting the opposition batsmen.

Mark Wood, who will accompany Archer in generating pace today, also finds a place in my team. The fact that both of them will bowl with the new ball and in the death over means that they have significant chances of being among the wickets.

Going by a latest development, Wood might not be included in England’s playing XI because of a sore ankle. The right-arm bowler will have to pass a fitness test in the morning to play. If Wood is left out, you can pick one out of Liam Plunkett or Adil Rashid as both of them will fit in your budget.

One bowler who can aid West Indies in putting a halt against England’s assault is Oshane Thomas. In four matches against England earlier this year, Thomas dismissed nine batsmen at an average of 23.22, an economy rate of 7.16 and a strike rate of 19.4. The 22-year old bowler will be banking on his record to make early inroads into the English lineup.
