Fernando Alonso has already proven that age is nothing but a number by performing at the highest level of motorsports and claiming podiums at 41. Even though a third world championship might be on the cards, the Spaniard has claimed that his ultimate goal is to settle down and have a family.
Alonso already has two world championships to his name, along with 32 race wins and 22 pole positions. However, it is wrong to believe that he is done. Alonso has said clearly that winning a third championship is still one of his goals. But even Alonso knows that after all these years if he does manage to win a title, it will be really unprecedented.
Alonso has, however, claimed that he has an even bigger goal in life. 15 years after his divorce from his first wife, the Aston Martin driver has revealed that his biggest dream is to start a family once he stops racing.
Fernando Alonso wants a happy family
Beyond the glitz and the glamor, the life of an F1 driver is quite tricky. Traveling to various countries throughout the year means they cannot give time to their loved ones. Fernando Alonso has explained that this is the main reason he still hasn’t been able to start a family.
Alonso said, “I want to have a family. That is the biggest dream of my life. I have not yet succeeded with it because of my way of life. That is something in which, when I stop running, I will find happiness.”
My admiration for Alonso runs deep. Reading this warms my heart;

Fernando Alonso has already attempted to settle down with a partner. Back in 2006, he secretly married singer Raquel Del Rosario. However, their marriage did not really turn out to be quite successful, as the couple split soon in 2008.
Fernando Alonso outlines other future plans
The two-time world champion has also laid out some other future plans. Alonso explains that he knows that he can’t stay in Formula 1 for too much longer. However, he will keep in touch with Aston Martin after he leaves racing.
He has said he wants to be remembered after leaving the track. “The legacy that I leave in this sport, that of someone who loves it so much that he keeps running for so many years, keeping the level as high as possible,” said Alonso.
Meanwhile, he has also highlighted his plans to ply his trade in other racing competitions. A few months ago, he mentioned giving another shot to the Dakar Rally. Whereas, Indy500 is also another avenue he would fancy taking part in.
