F1 Fans React as Lando Norris Hilariously Refers to Ex-McLaren Teammate Daniel Ricciardo as Someone Who 'Growls'

Lando Norris does not seem to have forgotten his former McLaren teammate Daniel Ricciardo as he included the Australian as a response to a recent question he was asked. The Briton appeared in a recent episode of Grill the Grid when he was asked to name three animals that growl.

In reply, Norris hilariously said, “Daniel Ricciardo. Tiger. Lion“. Ricciardo is one of the most charismatic and talkative drivers in F1 and that is perhaps a reason why Norris included him among the list of those that growl. Irrespective of whatever Norris’ reasons were, his fans seemed to have loved his response.

F1 fans miss Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo at McLaren

Several F1 fans such as Petra explained how they miss seeing Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo together at McLaren. The duo spent two seasons together in 2021 and 2022 before the Australian left the team to join Red Bull as their reserve driver.

Meanwhile, other fans such as Vanessa found Norris’ reply simply hilarious.

And then there were some other fans such as Laila who seemed surprised by how ‘casual’ Norris was with his reply.

Norris has had a disastrous start to the 2023 season

Lando Norris has had a horrible start to the 2023 season as he currently finds himself in ninth place in the championship. The Briton has just scored 10 points after the first five races and is already seventeen points behind eighth-placed Lance Stroll.

What has been most disappointing about Norris’ season is the inconsistency in McLaren’s pace across different circuits. After two consecutive 17th-place finishes in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, the 23-year-old seemed to have rediscovered his form by scoring points in two consecutive races in Australia and Azerbaijan.

However, that did not last long. This is because, in the very next race in Miami, Norris once again found himself struggling to keep up with the rest of the midfield pack and managed to finish only a disappointing 17th.

Following such a disastrous start to the 2023 season, the McLaren driver will now hope to score some good points in the upcoming triple-header. As for Daniel Ricciardo, he would hope to keep himself in good shape to ensure that he is ready if a spot opens up for next season.
