Red Bull ace Max Verstappen clinched his second championship title in a row in the 2022 season beating Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.
The Dutchman dominated the 2022 campaign as he claimed 17 wins from the 22 race season and also helped the Milton-Keynes-based team secure their double championship for the first time since 2013.
Speaking to RacingNews365.com after his successful Abu Dhabi GP weekend, Verstappen revealed the race he felt was his strongest performance in the current season.
Providing a bold prediction, the Dutchman chose the weekend in Spa as his best. He said that even if he had started the race from the back of the grid in Belgium he would have won.

Max Verstappen reveals the worst race of the season
Red Bull did not get off to a good start at the beginning of the 2022 season. Reliability issues saw the team get off to a rocky start.
But the team was able to address that and soon the team held a considerable lead over its rival. When asked if Brazil GP was his worst having finished P6.
The 2-time champion said that in terms of overall performance Brazil was on par with Melbourne because the pace was terrible.
Ferrari made tough targets, says the Dutchman
Red Bull secured the double championship partly due to its strong performance and the remaining because of the errors that Ferrari made.
The Milton-Keynes-based team was quick in out-developing the Italian giants who started the season with arguably the fastest car.
However, as the season progressed, the Maranello-based squad and Charles Leclerc began to see their chances of winning the title fade away.
Verstappen said that it was the French GP when he believes that the chances of a title for Ferrari faded away.
Leclerc had crashed out of the race at Paul Ricard letting the Dutchman create an extravagant lead. On top of that, Verstappen said that the team set tough targets for itself.
He recalled that the Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto said that there was no reason why the Scuderia won’t win the remaining ten races after the French GP. The 25-year-old said that even if you have the fastest car, making zero mistakes is a very hard thing to do.
