After Failing to Sell His Ferrari Two Weeks Ago, Fernando Alonso Manages to Get $5,900,000 for His Prized Asset in Recent Auction
Fernando Alonso has finally managed to sell his Ferrari Enzo at an auction for a whopping $5,900,000 after having failed to do so two weeks ago. This car is known as the ‘Scocca n.1‘ as it’s the first body manufactured of this model.
This car is also one of a kind because of the unique features it has. It has a low mileage of just 3000 miles, and its production was limited to just 399 units. Moreover, the car’s interior is packaged with technology derived from F1.

Alonso purchased this prized asset in 2011, the year he drove for Ferrari in Formula 1. While it may seem as a surprise that the Spaniard was able to sell such an old possession for such an astronomical amount, two important factors may have made all the difference.
Firstly, it is essential to note the low mileage of the car, as Alonso has barely driven it. And secondly, this prized possession belonged to a double world champion.
Fernando Alonso finally sold his Ferrari Enzo at an auction
According to marca.com, Fernando Alonso finally sold his Ferrari Enzo at the recently held Monaco Car Auctions for $5,900,000. The report adds that the price at which this prized asset was sold was in line with the estimate (between $5,500,000 and $6,000,000) that Monaco Car Auctions made.
After successfully managing to sell his Ferrari Enzo, Alonso also had a special message for the new owner of the car. “It means a lot to me. I had a great time with the car. It’s a magical work of art. Take care of the car and enjoy it,” the 41-year-old said in a video message.
Although this car meant a lot to Alonso, the Spaniard had a good reason to sell this prized asset. And that is simply to buy a new expensive car.
Alonso is keen to purchase a rare Aston Martin
According to minotod.com, Fernando Alonso is looking to save up funds to buy the Aston Martin DB4 GT. This rare vehicle, which actor Lionel Jeffries previously owned, will be available for auction on July 14 by Bonhams.

After Jeffries purchased this luxurious car, he made several additions to it to boost its price. Jeffries added a 4.0-liter engine to improve the car’s performance instead of the 3.7-liter engine that was previously fitted.
Since this car has such unique features, it is believed that it has also caught the eye of Alonso. While the Spaniard has not publicly revealed his interest in the car, it is believed that he wants to get his hands on it at any cost.
