After the latest win at the Italian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen became the first-ever driver to have ten consecutive race wins in Formula 1. The Red Bull driver broke the long-standing record held by Sebastian Vettel in this regard. Now, Vettel took the opportunity to congratulate Verstappen and praise the young driver for his achievement, as per De Telegraaf.
Vettel held this record since 2013 when he won nine races in a row. The German driver was with Red Bull as well back then. He started winning races from the 2013 Belgian Grand Prix and didn’t look back from there.
A 10/10 performance today @redbullracing 🏆
To win 10 races in a row, and 15 consecutive races as a team, is unbelievable! 💪 I’m beyond proud to achieve this milestone together 👏
Today we will enjoy this moment and then we will keep pushing for more ☝

The four-time world champion ended the season with nine wins in a row. However, the record came to an end after Nico Rosberg won the season opener in Australia in 2014. The record was unbroken all these years until Verstappen crossed the finish line in Monza.
The defending champion has been extraordinarily dominant this season; winning 12 races out of 14 races. With that, he is inching closer to his third straight title. Acknowledging all of this, Vettel congratulated Verstappen on this.
Sebastian Vettel congratulated Max Verstappen
According to Erik van Haren of the De Telegraaf, Vettel took no time to congratulate Verstappen on breaking the former’s record. This has come even after the Red Bull driver broke the record that stood for almost a decade.
Admittedly, Verstappen was happy with the outcome in Italy too. Rating his performance at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, he put up a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, where he wrote, “A 10/10 performance today @redbullracing.”

Interestingly, it was time to rejoice for Red Bull too as they were on a 15-race winning streak. The Austrian team has been unbeatable since the 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix when George Russell took the surprising win for Mercedes.
Verstappen will break many records, believes Vettel
Along with congratulating Max Verstappen after the former broke his record, Sebastian Vettel has also claimed that the two-time world champion will go on to break more records in his illustrious F1 career.
With 47 wins already, there are chances that the Dutchman might become the driver with the third most F1 wins in a few races. Notably, he will only need seven more wins to beat Vettel’s record, until recent risks.
As things stand, the Red Bull driver is speeding his way to clinch the third consecutive world title as Red Bull looks ever-dominant and unstoppable coming into the 2023 F1 season.
