Bowman started his career in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Turner Motorsports at Chicagoland Speedway in 2012. But it was in 2015 that his career took off when he started driving the No. 88 for Hendricks Motorsports as an interval driver for Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The American racer won his first race in 2019 during the Camping World 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. In 2020, he got his second win in the Auto Club 400 when he led 110 laps and won stage 1 of the race.
