“But maybe we could play around with the layouts”- Daniel Ricciardo advocates for Yas Marina experimentation amid ‘boring’ layout accusations.
Daniel Ricciardo had a decent race in Yas Marina, as he ended 7th on the grid, an astronomical rise from his grid start of P12, on contrary the case was different with the rest of the drivers, with near to no room for overtaking.
Yas Marina circuit has long been criticized for its ‘boring’ layout, so to spice up the things Ricciardo feels that the authorities can do experimentation on the track. as he loves visiting there.
“Knowing that my pace was strong and that I was creating that gap, that kept me excited,” said Ricciardo on his race, as per the Motorsport “It was like a long time trial that I was enduring. So personally it was a fairly fun race for me, although not a whole lot of action with other guys.”
“It is a shame because it is such a great venue, and I certainly do not want to talk about the place down because I want to keep coming back here because it is amazing.”
“But maybe we could play around with the layouts, I know there are a few alternatives around here. Because unfortunately on Sunday it is tricky, it is sometimes a bit grim from an entertainment point of view.”
