Charles Leclerc has had fans on his fingertips. With new music released regularly, the back-to-back victories at Baku, and his overall charm, he’s become something of a star in the paddock. However, this “star” has taken on a new role, the frat boy.
In a recent promotional video for the Miami GP, Leclerc and Sainz danced together for the camera. Although, fans spotted some heavy bling around the Monegasque’s neck- something they haven’t seen before.
The millionaire Ferrari driver donned a heavy diamond chain with his racing number 16 on it, finishing the look with an open jersey. Reminiscent of a TikTok E-boy, fans went a level higher- a frat boy.
Charles Leclerc becomes the frat boy of the F1 paddock
Fans were still unsure of whether they liked the look or not, but one thing was sure, Leclerc wasn’t going to live down the frat boy tag on this one. Unfortunately, he had entered what fans called his “frat boy era.”

Regardless, the 16 chain has clearly left an impact on the fans, and maybe Leclerc will flex his new bling while strutting around the Miami GP paddock. A celebration of his new character, and all that.
Leclerc clears the air on Mercedes talks
Another reason Charles Leclerc has been in the spotlight recently is his potential move to Mercedes. With his name in the mix, he is quickly being seen as the only worthy candidate to replace Lewis Hamilton should he retire.
Despite these links, Leclerc has reiterated his unwavering desire to achieve his ultimate goal of becoming a champion with none other than Ferrari. His focus remains resolutely fixed on achieving this coveted title with the iconic Italian team.
Toto Wolff had said, “Charles is a super guy and for the long-term future someone you have to have on your radar but not for the short and medium term. Nobody doubts Charles’ ability and he is a good guy.”
In response to having in name in the Mercedes hat, Leclerc made one thing clear, “When I dream of being world champion one day, in my mind I wear a red racing suit and get out of a red car.”
A Ferrari man through and through, he aspires to be the one who brings the title back to Maranello. Although the goal seems out of reach this season, the weekend in Azerbaijan is proof that Leclerc will not stop trying.
