Max Verstappen is the top motorsport race driver, and with two world championships, he is currently the hottest property in Formula 1. On the other hand, David Croft is the best in business regarding F1 commentary.
While the Red Bull driver has a massive fanbase worldwide owing to his decorated personal stats just at the mere age of 25, Croft, nicknamed Crofty by F1 fans, is the king of the content in F1.
His anecdotes and throwback make the F1 race experience worthwhile for the fans. Moreover, nothing can beat his “Lights out and away we go” whenever the cars go all gun-blazing on every race day. Thus, the two are among the greatest in their areas of sport.
Max Verstappen goes for an unusual challenge
Verstappen is quite hard to beat, be it real-life racing or on a sim setup. However, he isn’t the king of every racing, not certainly when it comes to those which doesn’t require any engine power.
In a promotional video for Esso. Verstappen takes on Red Bull’s dirt bike racer Matt Jones. The two required multiple challenges to avoid penalties, like a toss, efficient fuel-filling and a dirt bike race.
In the first challenge, Verstappen lost out of luck. In the second challenge, the Red Bull driver being more used to cars, had his win. But in the end, the F1 champion was obliterated by Jones even though the former got a massive headstart.
Throughout the video, there were fuel efficiency lessons given by the two racing stars. But the cherry on the top was Crofty hosting this contest between the two personalities.
David Croft loved being a part
The video came out almost a month ago, and as soon it went online, Croft soon took to Twitter to express his lovely experience while shooting the commercial.
