Max Verstappen is currently living the best time of his life as he is on the brink of witnessing ten back-to-back race wins this season. After his recent win at the Dutch Grand Prix, he took the tally to nine as his whole family was at Zandvoort to cheer for him. However, Kelly Piquet’s daughter P was missing from there and she recently revealed the reason to Kek Mama.
Verstappen and Penelope, or P share an adorable relationship. The latter is the daughter of Kelly Piquet and her former partner Daniil Kvyat. The duo has started being adored by a massive number of people following Verstappen after the videos went viral where the Red Bull driver was seen playing with special appearances from Penelope.
Furthermore, Piquet often shares wholesome videos of them on the internet. Despite that, Penelope’s mother does not bring her to the Grand Prix. Even when the two-time world champion is on a winning rampage.
Why doesn’t Piquet bring P to the paddock?
Despite all the great relationships between Verstappen and P, Kelly Piquet is reluctant to bring her daughter to the paddock. Penelope, who is three years old now is old enough to come with her mother.
However, the final decision maker is the Brazilian model and she does not want to bring her to the races as of now. Talking about this to the Dutch media, she said, “I haven’t taken P to races yet, she hasn’t asked for one yet and I’d rather keep her away from photographers for now.”

Following this, she added, “If she asks, I might take her one day when it’s not too busy.” Admittedly, Penelope does not like loud noises and she is not old enough to ask why she is not accompanying her mother to watch the defending champion race. At least for now.
If not the paddock, Verstappen takes P to Karting
At the time when Kelly Piquet does not bring Penelope to the Grand Prix races, Max Verstappen makes sure he accompanies her to her first Karting class.
Verstappen and Piquet took the initiative to take the little P to her first Karting class a few months back. The Dutch champion shared the updates on her own social media sites, and the fans began to see a glimpse of the racing driver in the three-year-old.
Penelope hails from a magnanimous racing family. Her grandparents from her mother’s side, her uncles, her father, Verstappen, and Verstappen’s family are all renowned racers.
