F1 fan presents Lewis Hamilton to Taylor Swift fan who said she got greater talent than every athlete

Lewis Hamilton is the only driver to have won more than 100 F1 races. And apart from Michael Schumacher to have held seven world titles. That says not everyone is cut to do that.

But one fan on Twitter posted an unusual opinion which targets every sportsperson. After Argentina won the FIFA world cup, a Taylor Swift fan compared the skillset of footballers to her talent in singing.

He opined that sports could never be relevant, like music and songwriting. Thus, ranking Swift’s talent above most athletes in the world. In the end, the tweet owner got replies from fans across every major sport, including F1.

Lewis Hamilton fan replies back

F1 is a tricky sport. Besides driving skills, sound knowledge of engineering and good decision-making are needed. It can easily be qualified as one of the toughest sports in the world as the drivers ought to deal with massive real-time data.

It’s also physically tolling and requires tremendous fitness levels. Hamilton has been doing it over the last 15 years and has been successful in most years he entered. That makes him one of the greatest sportspersons ever.

Besides his F1 skills, Hamilton also gave a shot at music and featured in Christina Aguilera’s 2018 track Pipe with the pseudonym XNDA. The song has over 700,000 views on Youtube.

This short stint by Hamilton as a singer and his F1 prowess made a fan respond about the seven-time world champion against Swift’s earlier argument, saying by that logic, Hamilton is greater than the American singer.

Going for the eighth

The 2022 season was tough for Hamilton, as his Mercedes W13 was a mere shadow of its predecessors. Thus, the performative level of the Silver Arrows dropped, and the Briton could only finish P6 in the drivers’ championship.

But for the 2023 season, Hamilton is eyeing to make a comeback in the title fight. He has already said he would love to have one more title under his belt before he retires and hints at immediate retirement after winning his eighth championship. He said going out with the title could feel nice.

Though, only during the winter testing could it be known how much progress Mercedes has made for 2023. Currently, Red Bull, with its 2022 domination, can be viewed as the favourite for next season until things are on track take place.
