F1 ‘Swifties’ in Love With Alex Albon’s Girlfriend as She Ditches Her Boyfriend’s Monaco GP Race for Taylor Swift Concert

Alex Albon’s girlfriend Lily Muni decided to skip F1’s crown jewel for Taylor Swift. In doing so, the Williams driver’s girlfriend has won the hearts of Swifties for getting her priorities right.

She posted a story of her attending Swift’s concert in the Metlife stadium on the 28th of May. F1 fans who also identify themselves as fans of the 12-time Grammy-winning pop star said they’d do the same.

Lily has been spotted alongside Albon in many races. However, the Chinese golfer was in the US for a tournament and hence skipped Albon’s outing in Monte Carlo.

Alex Albon’s girlfriend chooses Taylor Swift over Monaco GP

The Monaco GP remains the most prestigious race on the F1 calendar. However, Alex Albon’s girlfriend chose to attend Taylor Swift’s concert in the US rather than appear in the star-studded F1 paddock.

The 23-year-old Chinese shared an Instagram story of her attending Swift’s concert. She followed it up with a selfie with a caption reading, “My voice is gone.” Her fandom triumphing over her partner’s race won the hearts of F1 fans.

A user ‘albonscarreacted “Our favorite swiftie miss lily muni attended the taylor swift concert yesterday!!” Another ‘TearRay’ wrote, “Lily Muni is the best swiftie ever.”

Twitter user ‘alvae667’ wrote, “LILY MUNI HE AT THE ERAS TOUR I JUST FELL TO MY KNEES.” ” wrote, “Skipped monaco gp to go see taylor swift she’s so real.”

A boring but tough Monaco GP, says Alex Albon

While Monaco GP has received flak for being a snoozefest, Alex Albon’s girlfriend did miss out on a chaotic race this year. However, Albon failed to score any points as he finished the race P14.

The Thai driver suffered a nasty shunt during FP1 of the race. He qualified for P13 but could not make up places in the rain-soaked Monaco GP. Albon even suffered a nudge from Lance Stroll, who lost control of his Aston Martin AMR23.

He said in his post-race debrief with Williams, “It was a boring but tough race. The rain was fun and created something, but it didn’t really change our result or shake things up as much as I thought it would.”

After scoring his sole point of the season so far in Bahrain, Albon has been held up by some bad runs. He retired in Jeddah and Melbourne and 12th and 14th in Miami and Baku respectively.

The Williams driver has wrestled his off-pace car into Q2 and Q3. With a rookie Logan Sargeant in the other car, Albon remains the lead driver for the team this season. He will also be expected to do the bulk of the scoring.
