Fernando Alonso Flexes His $235,000 Aston Martin Amidst Continued Success With New Team

Fernando Alonso has revealed his brand new ride adding Aston Martin’s latest engineering to his humongous car collection. The 41-year-old took to his Instagram to introduce his new Aston Martin DB11 to his fans which is priced between $220,000 – $235,000. The 2-time world champion currently has a car collection of approx $2.7 Million. Adding his latest ride to the collection, the worth of his garage increases to approximately $2.9 Million.

Usually, when an F1 driver gets a road car from the manufacturer they are racing for in F1, they are given the choice to customize it as per their wishes. However, whether or not the case is the same for the Spaniard, is unknown.

Nevertheless, the V12 Coupe version of the DB11 features a twin-turbo V12 engine with a maximum horsepower of 630 at 6500 RPM. The maximum torque on the car is 516 at 1500 RPM with 8 automatic transmission speeds with overdrive.

Fernando Alonso has been racing in Formula 1 since the 2001 season. Over his illustrious career, the Spaniard has driven for many iconic F1 teams including Ferrari and McLaren. In doing so, the 2-time world champion has amassed a net worth of $240 Million.

His net worth encompasses his extraordinary high-end car collection which goes from Ferraris to Maserati. Alonso owns a Ferrari 599 GTB Alonso F1 edition, which is named after him and is reported to be worth approximately $1.6 Million.

He also owns a Ferrari California and Ferrari 458 Italia which are worth $330,000 and $245,000 respectively. Apart from this, the 41-year-old also owns a Nissan GT-R worth $113,000 and a Maserati GranCabrio worth $355,000.

Alonso hopeful about success in Miami Grand Prix

Last season, Aston Martin finished P7 in the championship standings while Alonso could only score enough points for a P9 finish with the Alpine F1 team. But heading into the 2023 season, Alonso joined hands with the Aston Martin F1 team, and ever since the beginning of the current campaign, the team has been fighting for the top spot in the championship.

Currently, the Silverstone-based team stands at P2 in the championship behind Red Bull and ahead of Ferrari and Mercedes after 4 races. In all the opening three races, Alonso grabbed the podium but the same was not the case last time out in Baku.

Affected by a series of problems in the AMR23, Alonso finished the race in the fourth position while his teammate Lance Stroll could only manage a P7 finish. However, going ahead, the 2x world champion is sure that they will be back to fighting for the top position in the next race at the Miami Grand Prix.

As quoted by Marca, Alonso said“When you are one second behind another driver you risk losing the car at some point. I tried with Charles, but I lost the car once or twice when I was so close. I got up to try at the end, but he had a bit more pace and it wasn’t possible. We’ll try again in Miami.”
